ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan football team's impressive run of victories against their archrivals from Ohio State has come to a crashing halt after four straight wins.
Struggling with an unproductive offense and a defense that couldn't contain the Buckeyes' dynamic aerial assault, the Wolverines were thoroughly outplayed, falling 27-9 to the top-ranked Ohio State squad.
This defeat at The Big House extinguished any chances for Michigan to challenge for a berth in the College Football Playoff or to compete for the Big Ten championship crown.
Finishing the game with a 9-3 overall record and 7-2 in conference play, Michigan managed only 163 yards in total offense, dwarfed by Ohio State's 419. Buckeyes quarterback Julian Sayin completed passes for 233 yards and three scores, showcasing his arm strength.

Michigan's defensive line couldn't generate pressure on Sayin throughout the matchup. The redshirt freshman signal-caller completed 19 of 26 attempts with ample pocket time, and the Wolverines failed to notch a single sack.
Looking ahead, Michigan must now observe the remaining games unfold. Coach Sherrone Moore's squad remains in contention for a prestigious Big Ten bowl matchup, set to be announced next Sunday, December 7.
