Get ready to rev your engines! Annette's Diner, a beloved fixture in Disneyland Paris's Disney Village, is gearing up for a major makeover, and the first glimpses of its reimagined look are here! This iconic 1950s-themed diner, known for its all-American fare and retro charm, is set to close its doors on January 5, 2026, for a significant refurbishment project.
Annette's Diner has been a staple in Disneyland Paris since 1992, offering guests a nostalgic trip back to the golden age of diners. The upcoming renovation aims to preserve the diner's beloved retro atmosphere while giving it a fresh, updated feel.
The primary focus of the refurbishment will be on expanding the kitchen and completely revamping the dining room. This includes new floors, furniture, and a redesigned bar area. The bar's layout and aesthetic will be updated to pay homage to the classic chrome look that defines traditional diners.
But here's where it gets exciting! The booths will receive a brand-new design inspired by the car seats of the 1950s. Imagine sinking into plush seating in vibrant colors like pink, blue, and vanilla yellow – truly a feast for the eyes! The reimagined Annette’s Diner will also feature a slightly increased seating capacity, promising to welcome even more guests to experience the magic of the 1950s.
What's the bigger picture? Disney Village itself is undergoing a multi-year transformation, which began in 2022, after being announced in 2018. Several new additions have already sprung up, including the Disney Style and Disney Glamour boutiques, the Petite Rosalie terrace restaurant, Deco by Disney, and a new LEGO Store. The Sports Bar & Lounge is also undergoing refurbishment. Next year, a new McDonald’s and an Italian restaurant, Casa Giulia, are slated to open.
And this is the part most people miss... The commitment to preserving the original theme while updating the diner. Will this balance be achieved?
