British heavyweight boxer Solomon Dacres believes Fabio Wardley has the potential to pull off a 'miraculous' knockout win against the undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk. In his last three fights, Wardley has secured consecutive knockout victories over Frazer Clarke, Justis Huni, and Joseph Parker, establishing himself as the mandatory challenger for the WBO heavyweight title. While Usyk, an Olympic gold medalist and two-weight undisputed champion, is considered an overwhelming favorite, Dacres argues that Wardley's recent performances cannot be overlooked. 'No one's done it to Usyk, none of the unified champions, he's done it back to back against these champions, you can't ever go against him,' Dacres told Sky Sports. However, he acknowledges that a knockout victory for Wardley would be a 'miraculous' event. 'If it did happen it would be something miraculous. And, you know what, it could happen. Never say never. Never say never, honestly,' Dacres said. Dacres, a former English heavyweight champion, also highlights the potential for controversy in the fight, suggesting that Wardley's white-collar boxing background and lack of amateur experience could be factors in the outcome. 'You can't doubt anyone, especially in heavyweight boxing. You never know what's going to happen,' he said. Dacres' own career has faced challenges, including a loss to David Adeleye and a close call with Vladyslav Sirenko, but he remains confident and inspired by Wardley's journey. 'It does make you believe in yourself,' he said. As Wardley prepares for his next fight against Frazer Clarke, a former sparring partner, Dacres reflects on the impact Clarke had on his own Olympic aspirations. 'He's always been the No 1. I got on to GB, you could say he stopped me from going to the Olympics as well,' Dacres said.
